![]() There’s a chances that maybe this is the symbol for her mother’s clan and not the Ackerman clan, but this must have some plot relevance other than to explain why Mikasa always wears a band around her wrist. Let’s not forget, we still have not learned the significance of Mikasa’s family crest that is carved onto her wrist in chapter 5. Mikasa doesn’t even say that confidently herself. “This Again?” What Is she referring to? It doesn’t seem like she just hit her head. Or what about this conversation Mikasa and Levi had in chapter 63? It was almost if she went through a special transformation after she said “FIGHT” and her entire body was reenergized in a new way that allowed her to propel from the floor with such strength that she broke through the wood. Let’s not forgot the power up moment we witnessed episode 6 when Mikasa stabbed those “burglars” to protect Eren. Has no one else wondered why Mikasa and Levi are so strong? If Reiner, Bertolt, Annie, and Eren, are titan shifters, how did Mikasa beat all 4 of them and rank #1 in the 104th Training Squad? Why is Levi’s strength and ability considerably higher than one one else in the either story, except Mikasa? I’m am so convinced that it is the Ackermans at this point like I’ve been suspecting all along. So, which family is the other Titan house that might be within the walls? Have we even been introduced to them yet? But I think we can confirm that the Reiss family is in fact the true royal family because 1) they are able to access the full abilities of the Progenitor Titan and 2) Zeke himself referred to the king as King Reiss. This gets confusing though because in Grisha’s records they’re describing him as King Fritz and within the walls the king was known as King Fritz. We know the Progenitor Titan belonged to the Reiss Family and that the Reiss Family is the true royal family within the walls. ![]() This isn’t explicitly stated, but heavily implied. After the Great Titan War, 7 of the 9 titans were under the control of the Marleyan government, so maybe we can assume that the other 2 Titans escaped to Paradis. Or a combination of both, who knows at this point. Balance was kept through the Progenitor Titan, but this changed when the 145th Titan decided to split and move the capital to a remote island OR when the Marleyans plotted an uprising and began a civil war. If we put the two together, prior to the formation of Paradis the houses that split the other 8 titans were constantly warring for generations. We have this view of the outcome of the Great Titan War told by Grisha’s Father:Īnd then we have this telling of the Great Titan War from Dina: However, we are presented with two different perspectives of the war. In chapter 86, we learn of the Great Titan War that occurred 80 years prior to the death of Grisha’s sister. If you haven’t checked out my breakdown of chapter 86 you can do so here! I wasn’t sure how, but I think we’re finally getting to the main clues and information to figure everything out. On that day, Eren makes a promise to himself that he will do whatever it takes to eradicate every single titan off the face of the Earth, with the hope that one day, humanity will once again be able to live outside the walls without fear.I’ve been saying this for nearly two years now since I really started to delve into the crazy ass world of Shingeki no Kyojin, but I’ve always thought the Ackermans were going to be revealed as Titan shifters. But when the state of tranquility is suddenly shattered by the attack of a massive 60-meter titan, they quickly learn just how cruel the world can be. Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman, and Armin Arlert are three young children who dream of experiencing all that the world has to offer, having grown up hearing stories of the wonders beyond the walls. In the present day, life within the walls has finally found peace, since the residents have not dealt with titans for many years. Unable to effectively combat the titans, mankind was forced to barricade themselves within large walls surrounding what may very well be humanity's last safe haven in the world. ![]() These mindless, towering giants, called "titans," proved to be an existential threat, as they preyed on whatever humans they could find in order to satisfy a seemingly unending appetite. Hundreds of years ago, horrifying creatures which resembled humans appeared.
